The texture of these leaves makes them look spongy and soft. I also really like the colour and patterns of purple on green, making them unusual and eye-catching

Pink textures
This beautiful flower is growing in our garden at the moment. I don’t know what it’s called but I absolutely love the ombre colours running throughout the petals; from bright pink to the white tips. The texture, shape and depth of each petal makes this flower really stand out and a delight to look at

I don’t know what this flower is called but I love the curvy shapes of the petals and how dynamic the whole flower looks; it really is eye catching and pretty

Every Spring my mum, who has very green fingers, grows a variety of herbs and vegetables in our garden, with more varieties being added every year. This year as we are shooting through Summer lots of the plants are now bearing their offerings which are now ripe and ready to be picked. Here we have aubergines, chillies, French beans and tomatoes (you may wonder why some are still green though – my mum likes to add these to cooking to give food a tangy kick). There’s also others in our garden and as we head towards the end of Summer they too will be ready to enjoy

I think this is a really pretty flower and I like the openness and shape of the petals and the veins that can be seen lightly running through them
