2018 Highlights

As 2018 draws to a close, it’s natural to reflect back on the year. I hope that you all have had a significant and positive one. 2018 for me has had some highs, such as having a new niece join our family, starting a new job, as well as experiencing fun, new things such as taking a candy making course. I’ve also been able to visit new places and had a break away with my family. My lows have been feeling unmotivated and uninspired at times to post on my blog, and wondering if it’s still relevant. I have also felt like the world is passing me by and that I have so much I still want to do.

I leave you with some of my favourite photos of the 2018 and I wish you all happy New Year and with the hope that 2019 is one of fullfillment, happiness and adventure for all of us.

Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

Well, we’ve reached the end of 2014, and it’s been an interesting one for me, in terms of family related events and photo opportunities, both of which I hope have allowed me to grow in my skills and as a person. I would like to share below my favourite photos from this year, and to also wish you all a happy New Year wherever you are and whatever you decide to do to welcome in 2015. I hope its a happy, healthy adventurous 2015 for all of us

Scarf pin jewels

Hijab pins
I love the range of colours, shapes and sizes used in these scarf (or hijab) pins that can be used to dress up an outfit by adding a splash of colour or a hint of a sparkle. My particular favourite is the blue one which is nice and bright for upcoming summer days.

Blue and white bangles

blue and white bangle
The colour combination of blue and white to me always feels so refreshing when put together, so these bangles really caught my eye. I think these bangles with stones set in a simple but striking pattern would look great to compliment an outfit or even be worn as a statement piece on their own.

The best of 2013

2013 has been an exciting year for me with regards to photography; I finally managed to get myself a DSLR and was able to take some great photos with it at some amazing places. I have also been learning more about photography through a course as well as through all of you bloggers out there. Some of you have left helpful tips, while others have left kind and encouraging words, but I think most of all I feel that having seen photos that you have taken and published on your blogs you have really set the bar high, with beautiful, amazing shots of the world around you. I thank you all for your support on my blog and for helping me see the world in a different perspective.

I hope you all have a happy and successful 2014 and I leave you with some of my favourite photos from this year.

Baby hands

I love this photo of my baby niece’s hand against her mum’s and the contrast of the pretty bangles they both wore to a wedding recently. More colours and details of the bangles my niece is wearing can be found here

I love the rich colours and the traditional style of these bangles, which are typically used to add a bit of bling or sparkle to an outfit. This pair can be found here if you’d like to know more
