I always find it fascinating that clear water, when collected en mass is seen as blue in colour. This image shows exactly that; water up close is transparent and as soon as the water begins to wash in and out in waves its appears blue

Pretty peacock

I love the dazzling colours of a male peacock. I’ve posted photos of peacocks before but this one was so tame I was able to get right up close and take a photo of it’s amazing plummage and crest.
Fish bowl

It’s not really a fish bowl but it makes you feel you’re in one, looking over the rim out at the blue sky. It’s quite apt really seeing as this is the London Aquarium
Pretty Fuchsia

These pretty pendant flowers are called Fushia but have also been known to be called Ladies eardrops. They remind me of my childhood, of when I would squeeze the pod open between my fingers before nature could, and loving the little ‘pop’ sound they made (I don’t do it anymore though!). We still have some in our garden today and I love the bright colour and memories they bring throughout the year.
I’d love to hear what flowers make you smile or have a special place in your memory
Scarf pin jewels

I love the range of colours, shapes and sizes used in these scarf (or hijab) pins that can be used to dress up an outfit by adding a splash of colour or a hint of a sparkle. My particular favourite is the blue one which is nice and bright for upcoming summer days.

Jelly beans

I go through phases where I love jelly beans and this tiny scoop is really handy for getting at them (curtesy of my sister). My favourite flavours are the lime, watermelon and mango ones. Which ones are yours?
Magnolia
Image

The Magnolia tree in our garden is full of pretty white and pink flowers at the moment, which look even better against the bright blue cloud-free sky. It certainly cheers me up looking at them, knowing Spring has well and truly arrived in England
Another eye, another angle
Image

I know I’ve posted photos of the London eye before but I find that whenever I visit I just can’t help taking pictures of it to try and get another angle or view ; it’s just so big and in front the River Thames and with the ever changing city sky it just feels so iconic of London.
Lantern
Image

This lantern looks really pretty hanging amongst the tree branches. I especially like the intricate patterns cut in the metal for the light to shine through, which will look even prettier when it gets dark
