This precious gem collection isn’t mine (unfortunatley) but is housed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. I love the way the stones have been arranged in colour order and seem to be located in a dark secret place, which they kind of are as you’re not allowed to take pictures but I was being a bit sneaky (and before you ask, yes I got told off and had to put my camera away afterwards)
Its still wedding season for a lot of people so I thought I’d share a photo of a bride’s hands which in typical South Asian and Middle Eastern culture are decorated with Henna.
I love taking photos at this time of day as the effects achieved always look so magical. In this photo I really like how the water seems to glimmer and draws you eye across to the cliffs. What do others think of taking photos at this time of day and are there any tips that you’d like to share?
This pretty flower belongs to the aubergine plant, also known as eggplant, once the petals fall off the vegetable grows in its place. We have had several from my mum’s garden this summer
This is my sister’s outfit that she wore to her mehndi/henna party. I thought I’d try taking a picture from a different angle to see what it looks like – I quite like the effect, especially as there is lots of details and various colours
I think the colour of these cupcakes are quite unusual, but well work well together. They look and were delicious (if I remember rightly)

I think these flowers are really pretty, they remind me of daisies but in brighter colours. This one hasn’t quite unfolded its petals yet but I think it creates a striking effect
