This photo makes me think of Earth, especially at this time of year. The beauty and renewal that Spring time brings, in views like this, gives me hope and makes me smile. I’m lucky to have such amazing scenes close to home that really give me motivation and inspiration to go out and capture our wonderful, natural world.

Spring has sprung
Spring has well and truly sprung in London so I took a walk into one of my favourite local parks to see how the turn of the season has made itself known.
There was lots of colour on display such as this bright, yellow daffodil ‘runway’ which made me really smile. It made me want to run down the middle of it too (but I didn’t). There were also beautiful pink and white magnolia flowers and cerise Primroses reaching out for the sun.
The water in lake was sparkling, and was alive with graceful swans and paddling ducks. The row boats were sat on the side, not yet in use, but I’m sure it won’t be long before they’re in demand by eager rowers.
As I walked along the path I was watched keenly by a squirrel that was trying to be brave and not run away from me and my camera. Nearing the exit I saw the pretty white blossoms filling the trees, making me feel that the new season will be filled with hope, beauty and new opportunities.
Spring in St Christopher’s Place
It’s starting to feel like Spring has arrived in London and in particular in St Christopher’s Place where a creative installation of 1200 ‘floating’ flowers has been brightening up the street.
As well as the flowers hanging over the street many of the shops have also been creating displays to fit the the theme of the event.
On a bright day like today it was lovely lunchtime stroll and a much needed break from the office. For those of you interested in going to visit you’ll have to be quick as the exhibition is only around for a few more days.
Fun at the fair
With Spring in full swing here in the UK, my sister and I have already been making the most of the warmer weather. We decided to take her kids to visit the fair as it was in town during half term holidays. The weather was sunny and warm, the kids excited and energetic.
I wasn’t able to take many pictures as I was having too much fun, but it was great to spend the day with the kids and take in the colours and thrill of the rides and the enticing aromas of nearby snacks
We didn’t get to win any teddies such as these but we did go home with balloons and ice cream, and the kids happy but exhausted.
I’m looking forward to going to other funfairs over the coming months, with I hope, more thrills and treats to be had
Early signs
We’re still in the middle of Winter here in England, but I’ve been out in the garden to see whether any plants have survived the cold season. Surprisingly, there were a few flowers still blooming, and there were also early signs of Spring and regrowth. I look forward to keeping an eye on developments over the coming months.

Delicate pink

With Spring having arrived in the UK I have seen lots of tulips around which always look so pretty. I enjoy photographing these flowers as they are less tricky to focus on with their big petals and bright colours than smaller and more intricately detailed ones. I also like how although tulips look quite simple in shape you can still create lots of interesting images (like this one I have taken previously)
Magnolia

The Magnolia tree in our garden is full of pretty white and pink flowers at the moment, which look even better against the bright blue cloud-free sky. It certainly cheers me up looking at them, knowing Spring has well and truly arrived in England
Spring

There’s been rumours over the last few weeks that Spring is just around the corner here in London, but I haven’t been so sure. Over the weekend, however, the weather’s been wonderful; warm and sunny. I think we can now confirm that Spring is officially here. I can’t wait for the trees and buds to burst in bloom
I hope it’s brightening up wherever you are too
