This photo is of the church St Martin of the Fields near Trafalger Square. I like the contrast of the light and dark colours of the tree and building against one another and the great sense of height that you get. But best of all I think I like the bright blue sky as the backdrop.

Durdle Door, Bournemouth
I recently went on a day trip to Bournemouth and in particular to visit Durdle Door. Now, I’d seen a couple of photos on the internet and I had an idea of what to expect, sort of…what I actually found was a breathtaking view of the coast which was amazing. I’ll stop trying to explain and show you my photos instead which I took on my DSLR camera.
This is the view you see from a steep walk down towards the coast; it appears all of a sudden like a well kept secret

I love how the movement of the water can be seen in the second picture
Then walking further down you see the famous Durdle Door which is also a World Heritage Site
What I loved the most about this place was that it looked as beautiful in real life as it did in photos I’d seen, in full, vivid colour. I would definitely recommend it as place to visit and to get some amazing shots.
Here a few other photo’s I took

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says
Aside
So, I thought I’d have a go at the weekly photo challenge on WordPress this week. This is a photo I took when walking around London, and I thought it was a cheeky alteration to the ‘stop’ sign, so took a quick snap

I also found this Banky picture on my wonderings which is also very apt, and I love Banksy artwork, so I had to include it
Postcard London
Image

This makes me think of those typical landscape pictures that you get on souvenir postcards. Only problem with mine is that it’s slightly wonky! I still like it, although maybe I’ll have another go when I next go down and see if I can do better.
White stone courtyard

This is a courtyard at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. The colour of the stone has a really nice pale colour, which makes the photo look almost black and white
Orbit tower, London
Image

Also known as the ArcelorMittal Orbit, which is in Stratford, London (reminds me of a huge waterslide). I was lucky enough to visit the Olympic park last year and take a few pictures. I really like the view of this and how the red stands againt the bright blue sky
