I like how some of these sweets look like they’re locked in a glass box with some which have managed to escape!

Magic walkway
This is the pathway that leads to St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall.

Those who know about it, know that when the tide goes out the walkway becomes clear for you to walk on and leads you to the small island that has a castle or ‘mount’. The Island has many stories about it’s history, some factual, some in folklore, the most famous being it was once home to King Arthur.
Once the tide begins to come in the pathway begins to disappear beneath the waves (which I found out half way down on my way back to the mainland with my shoes getting soaked)
Once the tide is completely in from afar it seems like the pathway never existed and was perhaps even magic!
I’d love to hear your experiences of St Michael’s Mount and if you saw the tides coming in or out

Comic Con London 2013
Last weekend in London there was a Comic Con event, and being a bit of a self-confessed geek I just had to go. I’ve been meaning to go to one of these events for a few years now but have never managed to get round to it for some reason or another. This year I knew my brother-in-law was going so asked him to get tickets for me and my sister.
Now I wasn’t sure what to expect from an event like this; I know the main and biggest one is held in San Diego, USA, which I hope to go to one day, and I’d seen on American TV shows and films, conventions and events such as this that always seem to attract a large following, but I’ve always felt that these kind of events would be a bit more toned down in Britain, with people enjoying such an experience but being a bit reserved about their passion for comics and films…boy was I wrong!
When we got to the Excel Centre in London where the event was being held there were so many people, outside and in, with many of them dressed as characters from comics, films and other popular shows – I thought it was great
There were stalls selling original drawings of comic characters, as well as classes you could attend to show you how to draw in different styles. There were several actors there for signings and photos and just lots of quirky things to look at and buy
I really hope to go again next year and maybe even be brave enough to dress up myself, but for now here’s some photos which I took on my digital camera. I found the lighting at the venue not quite bright enough, so some photos aren’t as clear as I would have liked. Maybe I’ll take my DSLR next time.

Curves

I really like how this building on London’s Regent Street curves with the road, I especially like the illuminated stone of the building contrasting against the evening grey, cloudy sky.
