I love this leaf; the bright green colour with the stark white trim around the edge, and the texture of the grooves joining at the stalk. The leaf is deep and almost cup-like and I can just imagine drinking a cool, refreshing drink when it rains.

Caught snapping
My sister and I went to a wedding recently and when we went for a walk I saw these pretty flowers that I just had to photograph. Little did I know that I was also being snapped!

Vertical lines
These pretty, light yellow flowers remind me of summer and I really like how they grow upwards on the stem in small bunches. The thin stalks in the background, which looks like lavender, seem to create a really interesting, textured background of vertical lines with an added sense of movement – I can almost feel the wind swishing through the stalks.
Dandelion seeds
I’ve seen some amazing photos of dandelions seeds and have tried a number of times to try and capture them on my camera. I quite like this attempt but I will keep trying as I’m confident I can get better and much closer. The tricky part is making the sure the seeds are mostly intact and that it’s not too windy as the big head of seeds on a thin stalk makes the whole thing wave about!
