Farewell 2015; here we go 2016

We’ve come to the last day of 2015 but it will always be frozen in time, captured in our photographs and memories. Here are my favourite photos of the year which I enjoyed taking and sharing with you all.

I hope 2016 is everything you want it to be and more. Happy New Year and enjoy the fireworks.

Lilies

I recently left my job and as a parting gift my old work colleagues gave me a card with some lovely messages, a gift card to buy something nice with and these beautiful lilies. I managed to get them home on the tube in one piece (although I did poke a few people with the long stems), and they’re now sitting on the kitchen table brightening up the room.

WPC: Close up

tulip

Those that have been following my blog for a while know I love a close up of a pretty flower. I especially like tulips which look elegant and fun, and come in an array of colours. This such flower has petals with interesting pink strokes, almost making them look like bird feathers.

Sea green and pearls

I recently bought a new outfit for a family wedding and I love the sea green colour and the details of the sparkly beads set off against the simple white, creamy pearls.

I really enjoyed wearing the outfit on the day and feeling the fabric swish as I walked

I hope to be able to wear this again at a family party or dinner soon

All the colours

Tulip

This is a close up of one of the tulips I bought my mum recently. I love how the petals took on a rainbow of colours as they opened. It makes me think perhaps someone has brushed on strokes of watercolour paint to create this beautiful effect.
