This is another flower from my mum’s garden, I think it’s called Dianthus, but with several hundred thousand species of flowers in the world I can’t be sure. I thought it was quite an unsual flower with the jagged edges of the petals and the curls coming out of the centre

I really like how the detail of this flower and the small green bud has been picked up. This is one of many flowers in our garden which my mum spends a lot of time tending to throughout the year.

I think these flowers are really pretty, they remind me of daisies but in brighter colours. This one hasn’t quite unfolded its petals yet but I think it creates a striking effect
