Shades of blue
I find this flower really interesting, from it’s jagged edged, pale blue petals to the deep blue filaments in the centre. I haven’t seen this flower before and it’s unusual shape and colour really caught my eye.
Fusion
I don’t know what these flowers are called but I love the way the lower petals are all white and the upper are blue, making it look like the two separate flowers have been fused together to make these pretty combinations. Also what’s interesting is how the anthers (the yellow bits with the pollen) are on the tips of the petals instead of in the centre of the flower. If anyone knows the name of these lovely flowers please, do let me know.
Powder blue
I love the simplicity and unusual colour of this flower. The powder blue, ombre petals create a nice symmetrical shape which I feel is really pleasing to the eye.
Crocus
One of the first flowers to bloom in early spring are these pretty crocuses (or croci) which can be found growing in woodland areas, bringing a carpet of colour to the landscape. The bright purple petals with sparks of yellow peeking out always bring me cheer on a dull cold day.

There’s nothing like vibrant, pretty flowers to brighten up a cold, grey winter’s day.

White gaura
These white gaura flowers are really pretty and elegant looking, and would be a nice addition to any flowerbed.
Delicate peony
This peony is really pretty with large, soft pink petals peeling back to expose the ruffled cream petals within. They look great in a vase and they smell nice too.
WPC: Close up
Those that have been following my blog for a while know I love a close up of a pretty flower. I especially like tulips which look elegant and fun, and come in an array of colours. This such flower has petals with interesting pink strokes, almost making them look like bird feathers.
