My sister kindly brought my mum a mini orange tree with mini oranges to plant in her garden.
I’m not sure how it will do seeing as orange trees usually need a warmer climate to thrive in but we’ll be keeping an eye on it and the mini oranges.
I was up this morning to eat something and pray before the start of today’s fast and I managed to catch the warm, bright, orange light of daybreak, with the promise of a hot, sunny day ahead. I love this time of the morning; it seems like there’s no one else awake and just feels so peaceful.
I thought I’d have a go at the weekly photo challenge for this week – the theme ‘orange‘.
My photos showing pops of ‘orange’ are: baby oranges for my baby niece; a pretty flower with a bokeh background; and sparkly beads from a gorgeous necklace – I’d be interested to know what you think
These swirly treats are popular in South Asian countries and are called ‘Jalebi‘, They’re made of corn flour and are deep fried and then soaked in sugary syrup, which means that although they are delicious it’s probably not a good idea to eat too many. I think I want some now, looking at this photo…
I really like this picture, the rose buds on pause, waiting for Spring to arrive so they can open and become beautiful roses. I think they look pretty interesting now though; a sea of rustic, orangey-red, wavering in the soft breeze, an image of patience for what’s soon to come.
This is such a peaceful, aesthetic place to rest, I wouldn’t mind taking a seat and enjoying the Autumnal view right now
I really like this photo which shows so many different varieties of trees, each in their own shapes, sizes and shades. Together they create an interesting composition and a colourful landscape
I love how super bright these flowers are, almost makes you want to grab a pair of sunglasses to dim the glare! I also really like the detail in the centre which looks like a mini flower within a larger one
